Nelumbo 'Ziping'

Our darkest purplish pink, almost red lotus. It was grown from the seeds or an edible lotus given to us by a friend. It was a pleasant surprise when we found out how beautiful the flowers are.  When grown in a 50cm diameter pot, the roots are around 4-5cm in diameter. It is a good flower with dark green leaves.
